I’m originally from the UK, completing my medical degree at the University of East Anglia in 2009. After graduating I moved to Cornwall, where I completed my general practice training and worked for a number of years before making the move to New Zealand.
I am interested in all areas of general practice, but especially enjoy medical education. I have authored one successful textbook on human infectious disease and public health, with a second textbook on anatomy, physiology and surgery being published in 2022. I have also written learning materials and educational resources for various countries and curriculums around the world. I take tremendous pride in my role as an educator. I firmly believe that by helping our patients to understand their illnesses better, we empower them to manage their conditions for the future.
