About Me

Kia Ora, I am Marjolein Peters.

Following completion of my GP training in the Netherlands in 2018 I worked for several years as a General Practitioner in the Netherlands as well as the UK, where my partner is from.

In March 2025 we decided to take the leap and move to beautiful Taupō with our 2 children.

 

I am passionate about my work as a GP,  and I thoroughly enjoy the diversity of my job. I have a particular interest in women’s health, sexual health, paediatrics and minor surgery.

Having had the opportunity to gain experience in different health care systems with a variety of patient populations will enable me to provide better quality of care and be flexible in adapting to the needs of my patients.

I am excited about joining the team, providing the care that is needed for all our patients in the community.

 

In my spare time I enjoy exploring the outdoors, either on my feet, a bike (I am Dutch after all!), or my snowboard. I love good food, especially if this can be shared with friends and family.
