Kia Ora and Shwmae! I am originally from Wales and graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2004. I moved to Taupo with my daughter in 2012. My special interests include female and youth health, migrant health and medical education.
I enjoy learning, and see this as an important part of our role, as lead healthcare providers. I am close to completing a postgraduate diploma in General Practice, and have recently just returned from 3 months in London studying towards a Diploma in Tropical Medicine.
Music is extremely important in my life. I play both the flute and piano and take part in some local groups. My regular sporting interests include yoga, swimming and skiing. I love to travel and speak some Spanish, French and a little Welsh (tipyn bach).
I care greatly about my role as a local GP and want the best for my patients, my colleagues and my community.
